Horse Lovers CLUB!!
As of right now, BUT NOT SET IN STONE...this is the plan...
We had so much fun at our meetings this spring, that we are going to do the Horse Lovers Club through the summer! We are planning a field trip, a sleep-over, rides and unlimited fun! We will be doing a 8-week summer session on Saturdays. Starting June 7 and going through August 23. June 14th is not a regular day but the members of the current club will be leading a few ponies in the Brownsville Parade and new members will be allowed to come too! It will be a 'free' club day, as in not count toward your 8 sessions. There will be eleven (11) Saturdays to choose from through the dates given so you can work around any plans you might have. If you attend 8 sessions and there are more left, you have the option to pay for the last few by the day ($10 per Saturday ). Time to be determined, about 3 hours planned. Cost is $100 for the summer, with a discount given for multiple children from the same family. Besides the 8 days attending the club, each child will get a certificate for two riding riding lesson (a $40 value). Additional lessons will be $15 instead of the regular fee of $20 each for members of the club. Lessons will need to be scheduled by appointment outside regular club hours. At the very end we will have quizzes and games with PONY PRIZES.
Girls and boys ages 7 and up would be able to join. (Younger children may be taken on a case by case basis) No horse experience necessary. All levels are welcome!
This is structured for school aged kids(entering 2nd grade-high school). Most of the kids in our group don't have their own horse and don't know much about them. They just LOVE them. This summer we are are planning to spend part of our time learning about things like parts of the horse, illnesses (common), injuries, feeding, breeds, colors, hoof care, etc...And part of the time will be hands on. We have two babies on the farm this year we will be playing with them also! We can't wait to hear from you all!!
